This weekend was the Pizza Ranch Classic Soccer Tournament. We played Trinity International on Friday and lost 3-0 :( but we beat Waldorf on Saturday 3-1 :) Also, VanWylens came this weekend. It was so good to see them this weekend! And, they brought me a bunch of goodies from my mom :) I am all stocked up on food a while. We got to chat during Scott's games and go out for dinner and ice cream at Culvers. We also went to the football game Saturday night. It is one of the only football games I will get to go to this year because of soccer. It was a great game and we actually won!! I had forgotten how much I love going to watch football games. I also got to witness God's artistry through the sunset that night during the game. It was beautiful.
Sunday I went to church and had a relaxing afternoon. Then me and Merissa went to Lifelight, the Christian music festival in Sioux Falls. We got to see Sidewalk Prophets and Jeremey Camp. They were both so good, especially Jeremy Camp. There was kind of a long break between the two so me and Merissa went into Sioux Falls and found a Panera Bread!! We ate supper there and worked on some homework. It was so great to get out of Sioux Center for a while and actually be in civilization :)
We had so much fun!
Now another week is beginning. It is going to be a little stressful becuase we leave for North Dakota on Thursday afternoon. We will be gone all weekend play soccer Friday and Saturday. It will be around a 8 or 9 hour trip :( but hopefully we can pull out two more wins and make it worth our while.
There was lots of joy this weekend as well as some apprehension about the week to come. Hopefully I can continue to keep my head up and keep my eyes out for joys in the days to come.
